Organize Your Files with Folders and Descriptive Names

One of the simplest ways to stay productive on your computer is to keep your files organized. Instead of letting documents, photos, and apps pile up in random locations, try these strategies:

  • Use folders: Group related files together in folders, like “Work,” “Personal,” “Projects,” etc. This makes it easy to find things quickly.

  • Name files clearly: Use descriptive and consistent names for your files, including dates or keywords (e.g., “Report_March_2025” or “Vacation_Photos_2024”).

  • Sort by date or type: Most file explorers allow you to sort your files by date, size, or type. This can help you quickly locate recent documents or specific file types.

With just a little effort, you’ll spend less time searching for files and more time working efficiently!
